Domain Paul Janin et Fils was founded by Paul Janin, a discreet winegrower who began exporting his production in the 1970s, and began targeting the French market in 1975. The vineyards of Domain Paul Janin et Fils now cover 10 hectares in 2 appellations. In Beaujolais-Villages, "Domain des Vignes des Jumeaux" comes from 2 hectares of vines planted on the edge of the slopes, on clay-granitic terroir. In Moulin-à-Vent, "Clos du Tremblay", "Domain des Vignes du Tremblay" and the "Séduction" cuvée are made from a combined 8 hectares of vines located within the appellation perimeter. Most of the vineyards are on south-facing slopes. The soils are predominantly sandstone, with alternating sand and/or variegated red clay on the surface.
