Domaine Paul Janin et Fils was founded by Paul Janin, a discreet winegrower who began exporting his production in the 1970s, and began working on the French market in 1975. Today, the Domaine Paul Janin et Fils vineyard covers 10 hectares in 2 appellations. In Beaujolais-Villages, "Domaine des Vignes des Jumeaux" comes from 2 hectares of hillside vines planted on clay-granitic terroir. In Moulin-à-Vent, "Clos du Tremblay", "Domaine des Vignes du Tremblay" and the "Séduction" cuvée are made from a combined 8 hectares of vineyard parcels within the appellation perimeter. South-facing slopes predominate. The soils are predominantly sandstone, with alternating sand and/or variegated red clay on the surface.
