"A superb wine from Chris Carpenter and the Kendall-Jackson family, this blend of 89% Cabernet Sauvignon and 11% Merlot, sourced mainly from the Jackson family's mountain vineyards, is fabulous. Cardinale 2013 has a dense purple color. A sweet kiss of crème de cassis as well as licorice, blackberry and coffee is found in this full-bodied, rather intense and sublime Cabernet. It should drink well for at least 25 years. It was aged in around 91% new French oak barrels for 18-20 months before bottling. It's certainly one of the finest Cardinales we've ever tasted. Domaine Saint-Supéry - Sauvignon 2008

The Sauvignon Blanc grapes from which this cuvée is made are harvested at night and in the early morning hours of August and September, to preserve the fragile fruit aromas. Wonderful aromas of pink grapefruit, lime and honeysuckle, combined with a lively core of grapefruit, hints of pineapple, nectarine and lemongrass. An explosion of citrus for a very harmonious wine!
