"A very accessible Trousseau, the perfect accompaniment to a small salted dish with lentils!"
The red marl soils of the Lias formation, where this Trousseau comes from, are much less pronounced in color. The robe, between blackcurrant and purple, is very bright. The nose is still closed but already reveals some lovely notes of cherry, blackberry, and a hint of spice. Round and appealing, the palate opens with strawberry and finishes with morello cherry. The tannins are well integrated and the wine is harmonious. Representative of the appellation and the vintage, this wine shows great promise. " (Le Guide Hachette 2025)

Bettane & Desseauve
Wine rated (2024 guide) 90/100
Winery rated 1*Star (A serious, recommendable production, consistent with what one would expect from its appellation(s))
About the estate:
He represents the tenth generation of Badoz in Poligny. Trained at the Beaune wine school, he returned to the estate in 2003 and inaugurated the winery in 2004. It took him a while to switch to organic farming, but certification was obtained in 2019. The estate's vineyards are located in the Roussots and Grands Roussots areas. Half of the estate is planted with Savagnin, but that doesn't mean the reds should be overlooked. He pushes the barrel aging a little too far on some vintages.

Something is missing. Too light and acidic.
