"Beautiful plot selection"

Cistus, in Latin, is the emblematic plant surrounding the estate's plots. This red Faugères exudes aromas of black fruits, chocolate, and thyme. Complex and velvety, this deep wine evokes the unique landscape of its terroir, with a finesse that is well worth the wait. An essential cuvée from the estate!

About wine:

I am immediately struck by aromas of orange blossom, violet, juniper, and cassis. On the palate, the flavors are concentrated, distilled into a succulent concoction of mandarin peel, redcurrant, bramble, and undergrowth. Superb.

About the estate:

Since the 1970s, this certified organic estate has been one of the jewels in the appellation's crown, appearing in the Guide with unfailing regularity. Boasting a magnificent terroir of 70 small schist plots (58 hectares) that sculpt the landscape, it now benefits from the expertise of the younger generation, inherited from grandfather Jean and father Bernard Vidal, both former presidents of the appellation.
