"This intensely colored vintage offers a discreet first nose which, when swirled, reveals elegant aromas of blackcurrant. Well-balanced, full-bodied and long, the palate also displays fresh fruity flavors that are reinforced by tangy notes on the finish. A lively Bourgueil." (Le Guide Hachette des Vins 2018)

RVF - La Revue du Vin de France / Guide des Meilleurs Vins de France
Wine rated (2018 guide) 16,5/20 (Very good wine)
Rated estate (2026 guide) 2 stars (These very large estates, often blessed with fabulous terroirs, are must-haves which, thanks to their consistency and the excellence of their production, deserve a place in the cellars of discerning wine lovers).
About the estate:
Emmanuel Caslot and his sister Laurie lovingly and meticulously continue the work of thirteen generations in this historic Bourgueil estate. Here, Cabernet Franc is vinified with real gentleness to express the nuances of the sandy, clay, and limestone terroirs of the lower, middle, and upper slopes. Each label is judiciously adorned with a color that reflects the intensity and complexity of the wine: from bright red for the Peu Muleau to deep purple for the Grand-Mont. These absolute references in Bourgueil highlight the fine, cool austerity of Cabernet Franc, cloaked in a magnificent smooth texture. Let's salute the bottle aging in the tuffeau cellars before they are released for sale.
