"This intensely colored cuvée offers a discreet initial nose which, when swirled, reveals elegant blackcurrant aromas. Well-balanced, full-bodied and long on the palate, it also unfurls fresh, fruity flavors that are reinforced by acidic notes on the finish. A bracing Bourgueil". (Le Guide Hachette des Vins 2018)

RVF - La Revue du Vin de France / Guide des Meilleurs Vins de France
Rated (2018 guide) 16.5/20 (Very good wine)
Domaine rated (guide 2025) 2*Stars (These great estates, often endowed with fabulous terroirs, are must-haves which, thanks to their consistency and the excellence of their production, must be included in the cellars of discerning wine lovers).
About the domain :
Emmanuel Caslot and his sister Laurie continue the work of thirteen generations at this historic Bourgueil estate with love and rigor. Here, Cabernet Franc is gently vinified to express the nuances of the sand, clay and limestone terroirs of the lower, mid and upper slopes. Each label is judiciously dressed in a color that reflects the intensity and complexity of the wine: from bright red for Peu Muleau to deep purple for Grand-Mont. These absolute benchmarks of Bourgueil highlight the fine, cool austerity of Cabernet Franc, while at the same time displaying a magnificent suavity of texture. We salute the bottle ageing in the tuffeau cellars before release.
