The estate's new vintage, Châteauneuf du Pape La Belle Voyageuse 2014, is a blend of Grenache, Mourvèdre, Syrah, and a touch of Counoise and Vaccarese, aged mainly in stainless steel vats with 15% of the blend aged in barrels. Due to the direct style of the vintage, this cuvée is a second wine and is made in a more direct and appealing style than the more structured and serious Reine des Bois cuvée. However, it is still a very fine cuvée in this vintage, offering youthful, jammy notes of blackcurrant, flowers, violet, and graphite that complement a full, fleshy palate. It has intense depth on the mid-palate and soft tannins on the finish. Hard to resist. (Wine Advocate 2015 - Robert Parker)

Wine rated (2017 guide) 16/20 (Very good wine)

Rated estate (2024 guide) 4 stars (Producers of very high quality, those who are the pride of French vineyards)

About wine:

Very colorful, full-bodied, racy flavor with dominant licorice notes, remarkable body, smooth texture, a complete wine in this "intermediate" vintage.

About the estate:

The estate offers expressive wines from the finest vineyards in Vaucluse and Gard. Everything is done with the utmost respect for the terroirs, with the aim of producing wines that live up to their potential. Madeleine Delorme, accompanied by her daughter Ambre, continues to work with great care and determination in the spirit of excellence that characterizes the estate and this winegrowing family. A superb range of salty, full-bodied whites and deep, delicate reds, enlivened by a thirst-quenching tension and a perfectly balanced structure. The estate is moving towards increasingly racy and precise wines. The fourth star is fast approaching.

Guide Hachette des vins

Wine noted (guide 2017) 1*Star (Very successful wine)

Rated estate (2024 guide) Award-winning wines (This producer's wines are regularly awarded by the guide)

About wine:

This Belle Voyageuse displays beautiful aromas of ripe red fruit and spices against a backdrop of wood that is still slightly dominant. On the palate, it is dense, rich, and concentrated, built on fine-grained but still severe tannins. A powerful wine that will mellow with time.

About the estate:

Created in 1986 by Francis Delorme and his son Christophe, the 58-hectare estate (certified organic and biodynamic) is spread over 38 plots and eight communes. Following Christophe's untimely death in 2015, his wife Madeleine and their daughter Ambre took over the reins of the estate. Advocates of low yields, the Delormes produce vintages with disconcerting ease, whether in Tavel, their original stronghold, Lirac, Châteauneuf-du-Pape, or "simple" Côtes-du-Rhône. Unmissable.
