"A new cuvée from the estate, Châteauneuf du Pape La Belle Voyageuse 2014 is a blend of Grenache, Mourvèdre, Syrah and a touch of Counoise and Vaccarese, aged mainly in stainless steel tanks and 15% of the blend in barrels. Due to the direct style of the vintage, this cuvée corresponds to a second wine and is produced in a more direct and seductive style than the more structured and serious Cuvée Reine des Bois. However, it is still a very fine cuvée in this vintage, offering young, jammy notes of blackcurrant, flowers, violets and graphite that match a full, fleshy palate. Intense depth on the mid-palate, with mellow tannins on the finish. Hard to resist. " (Wine Advocate 2015 - Robert Parker)

Expert opinion
Bettane & Desseauve
Wine rated (2017 guide) 16/20 (Very good wine)
Domaine rated (guide 2024) 4*Stars (Top-quality producers, the glories of French winegrowing)
About the wine:
Highly colored, full-bodied, racy, licorice-dominant flavor, remarkable body, suave texture, a complete wine in this "intermediate" vintage.
About the domain :
The domaine offers expressive wines from the finest crus of the Vaucluse and Gard regions. Everything is done with the utmost respect for the terroirs, with the determination to produce wines worthy of their potential. Madeleine Delorme, accompanied by her daughter Ambre, carry on with great care and determination in the spirit of excellence that is the hallmark of the domaine and this winegrowing family. A superb range of saline, fleshy whites and deep, delicate reds, driven by thirst-quenching tension and balance. The domaine's style is increasingly racy and precise. The fourth star is fast approaching.
Guide Hachette des vins
Wine rated (2017 guide) 1*Star (Very successful wine)
Domaine noté (guide 2024) Award-winning wines (The wines of this producer are regularly awarded by the guide)
About the wine:
This Belle Voyageuse unfurls lovely aromas of ripe red fruit and spice against a woody backdrop that's still a little dominant. On the palate, it is dense, rich and concentrated, built on fine-grained but still severe tannins. A powerful wine that time will soften.
About the domain :
Created in 1986 by Francis Delorme and his son Christophe, the 58-hectare estate (certified organic and biodynamic) is spread over 38 parcels and eight communes. Following Christophe's untimely death in 2015, his wife Madeleine and their daughter Ambre took over the reins of the estate. A firm believer in low yields, the Delorme family is equally at home with tavel, lirac, châteauneuf-du-pape and "simple" côtes-du-rhône. Not to be missed.
