About the estate:

The estate offers expressive wines from the finest vineyards in Vaucluse and Gard. Everything is done with the utmost respect for the terroirs, with the aim of producing wines that live up to their potential. Madeleine Delorme, accompanied by her daughter Ambre, continues to work with great care and determination in the spirit of excellence that characterizes the estate and this winegrowing family. A superb range of salty, full-bodied whites and deep, delicate reds, enlivened by a thirst-quenching tension and a perfectly balanced structure. The estate is moving towards increasingly racy and precise wines. The fourth star is fast approaching.

Very charming and refined.

About the estate:

Created in 1986 by Francis Delorme and his son Christophe, the 58-hectare estate (certified organic and biodynamic) is spread over 38 plots and eight communes. Following Christophe's untimely death in 2015, his wife Madeleine and their daughter Ambre took over the reins of the estate. Advocates of low yields, the Delormes produce vintages with disconcerting ease, whether in Tavel, their original stronghold, Lirac, Châteauneuf-du-Pape, or "simple" Côtes-du-Rhône. Unmissable.

A queen of aromas and flavors. In an average year, intense aromas of yellow and white fruits complemented by floral notes envelop a full-bodied, round palate. Full of freshness, it lingers thanks to a hint of herbs and a touch of fennel that tease the taste buds and energize the whole. A graceful white wine, ideal for end-of-year celebrations, which will complement refined dishes such as a puff pastry of turbot fillets, followed by a perfectly ripe or creamy "Banon" goat's cheese, to enhance the sweetness and tangy flavors of the vintage. Rating: 4.1.
