Grown on hostile terrain, the Lledoner Pelut (70%) and Syrah vines produce small yields for this cuvée with Catalan accents. Concentrated and delicate, the 2016 Extrême Rouge expresses notes of black fruit and spices. A wine bursting with sunshine!

Rated estate (2023 guide) 1*Star (Up-and-coming stars or quality winemakers producing good-quality wines; you won't be disappointed when tasting the wines from these estates)

About the estate:

Paul Old cultivates these old vines between Corbières and Roussillon using biodynamic methods. The minimalist approach in the cellar produces some high points (Prioundo and L'Extrême, in white) but also some low points, with gas saturation in certain vintages and sometimes a lack of clarity. However, the wines age well and benefit from aeration.
