"One of the greatest Malbecs in the world!"

" The Cahors Paragon 2015 is an incredible Cahors, and certainly one of the best wines I have tasted from this appellation. It offers a deep, concentrated, and refined style, as well as superb notes of black and blue fruits, burnt earth, and spring flowers, with prominent tannins, a lingering impression, and an excellent finish." Bettane & Desseauve

3-star rating (High-quality production, serving as a benchmark in its sector)

About the estate:

Alain-Dominique Perrin has worked hard to make the magnificent Lagrézette estate one of the flagships of Cahors' revival. The progress made since the renovation of the cellar is clear to see: the wines have gained in elegance and the fruit is better highlighted by the aging process. We particularly appreciate the château and clos-marguerite vintages, which are remarkable this year.

Rated estate (2024 guide) Award-winning wines (This producer's wines are regularly awarded by the guide)

About the estate:

A flagship estate in the Cadurcian vineyards, acquired in 1985 by businessman Alain-Dominique Perrin. It is renowned for the distinctive architecture of its 16th-century manor house, with its pepperpot towers, sloping roofs, and dovecote; for its wine-growing heritage (82 hectares), dating back to the 16th century; and above all for its ambitious wines, which are regularly featured in these pages.

About wine:

This wine comes from a gravel plot in Alain Dominique Perrin's Clos Marguerite vineyard. It has an excellent location, power, dense texture, powerful tannins, and hints of jammy black fruit. Rich and ripe, it will age for many years. Drink from 2023 onwards.

About wine:

Very smooth aromas and fragrances of ripe black plum and chocolate. Generous tannins gently support the fleshy fruit. Ready to drink or cellar.
