Expert opinion
Bettane & Desseauve
Domaine rated 1*Star (A serious, recommendable production, in line with what one has the right to expect from its appellation(s))
About the domain :
Victor and Vincent Lebreton are faithful interpreters of Coteaux-de-l'Aubance. The brothers took over the family estate in 1986 and now cultivate 60 hectares of vines on different plots and types of schist. The result is parcel-based cuvées with subtle tones, reflecting the resonance of blue schists (le-tertereaux), greys (clos-des-huttières) or purples (le-clos-prieur). A friendly address, with low prices. The range is at its best on the Aubance, as is only logical. The reds are simple and tasty, for immediate pleasure.

Guide Hachette des vins
Domaine noté (guide 2024) Award-winning wines (The wines of this producer are regularly awarded by the guide)
About the domain :
This estate on the outskirts of Angers is a benchmark in the region, particularly in terms of "Angevine sweets", with superb coteaux-de-l'aubance on the menu. Vincent Lebreton, who has been at the helm since 1995, runs the estate created by his grandfather Victor and developed by his father, also Victor, and manages 75 hectares of slate schist terroir in a highly integrated fashion. The sixth generation now supports him.
