Domaine de Montgilet
Domaine de Montgilet was created in the 1880s, and is now owned by the Lebreton family. Today, the estate enjoys a well-established national reputation, taking ever greater care in the production of its wines. Domaine de Montgilet produces mainly Coteaux de l'Aubance appellation wines, selected from noble rot, in five cuvées according to the sugar content of the grapes and their parcel origin. Domaine de Montgilet also produces AOC Anjou, AOC Cabernet d'Anjou and AOC Crémant de Loire wines. The terroirs of the estate are made up of three different schists: clay on blue schists, Angers-Trélazé slate massif, clayey silt on grey schists and schist alterites, and clayey silt on sandstone schists and purple schists.

"Pure Chenin nectar

"This liqueur wine immediately seduces with its intense, brilliant straw-yellow color. The nose is complex and concentrated, with intense aromas of candied fruit, raisins, dried apricots, quince and caramelized apple. The palate is velvety smooth, with a perfect marriage of richness, opulence and acidity, enhanced by a very pleasant bitterness with accents of candied orange zest. The long, fresh, intense finish is convincing". (Le Guide Hachette des Vins 2021)

Dry and full-bodied, this Anjou Blanc is distinguished as much by its freshness as by its astonishing aromatic finesse, dominated by aromas of white fruit, marshmallow and mirabelle plum paste. Woody notes follow, along with candied apricot. On the palate, the silky texture immediately asserts itself, with a very successful balance of alcohol and acidity. Roundness is accompanied by a burst of freshness and a slight mineral bitterness. Discover it now!
