"A bottle of great intensity, simply superb!"

"Les Blanchais 2022 is a finely textured, precise, and concentrated style. It stands out for its texture and aromatic restraint, with aromas of fennel, citrus, and oats. The 2022 offers excellent balance and ripe acidity with line and length. It has a high level of concentration and innate power at its core. A lot of chalky intensity coats the mouth." (Vinous A. Galloni 2024)

Wine rated (2025 guide) 93/100

Rated estate (2026 guide) 3 stars (High-quality production, serving as a benchmark in its sector)

About the estate:

The Pellés are deeply rooted in the Menetou-Salon appellation, and their work in the vineyard and in the winery is impressive. Since 2006, Paul-Henri has been revitalizing this family estate, which is steadily improving in quality. The emphasis on single-vineyard wines and the mastery of oak aging, with an increasing use of large containers (casks and vats), contribute to the estate's excellence, which has added another requirement with its organic certification since 2021.

Wine rated (2025 guide) 93/100

Rated estate (2026 guide) 1*Star (Up-and-coming stars or quality winemakers producing good-quality wines; you won't be disappointed when tasting the wines from these estates)

About wine:

As usual, Les Blanchais is more tense and refined, while still carrying the richness of its vintage. It is a very nice white wine in the making.

About the estate:

Paul-Henry Pellé, Anne's son, is in charge of the vineyard and winemaking: this demanding winemaker, who is constantly refining his soil management and aging techniques, is fully committed to achieving optimal maturity and expressing the diversity of the terroirs. Meticulous winemaking produces crisp, refreshing whites (Morogues), as well as deeper wines that reflect the uniqueness of each terroir: Le Carroir (old vines on flint), Vignes de Ratier (sunny Kimmeridgian marl terroir), Les Blanchais (Kimmeridgian marl exposed to the northeast).. Well-structured, the reds can show some variation.

About wine:

Quite intense and deep nose. Bone-dry finish. Less fruit in the middle than others. Perhaps it needs time to develop consistency? Citrus peel.
