"A few years of aging will allow it to fully reveal itself."

Le Carroir offers a lively, refined structure with a sober, powerful juice. The nose reveals aromas of slightly tart yellow fruits, followed by spicy notes. This 100% Sauvignon is a great terroir white wine.

Wine rating (2025 guide) 92/100 (2022 vintage)

Rated estate (2026 guide) 3 stars (High-quality production, serving as a benchmark in its sector)

About the estate:

The Pellés are deeply rooted in the Menetou-Salon appellation, and their work in the vineyard and in the winery is impressive. Since 2006, Paul-Henri has been revitalizing this family estate, which is steadily improving in quality. The emphasis on single-vineyard wines and the mastery of oak aging, with an increasing use of large containers (casks and vats), contribute to the estate's excellence, which has added another requirement with its organic certification since 2021.

Wine rating (2025 guide) 92/100 (2022 vintage)

Rated estate (2026 guide) 1*Star (Up-and-coming stars or quality winemakers producing good-quality wines; you won't be disappointed when tasting the wines from these estates)

About the estate:

Paul-Henry Pellé, Anne's son, is in charge of the vineyard and winemaking: this demanding winemaker, who is constantly refining his soil management and aging techniques, is fully committed to achieving optimal maturity and expressing the diversity of the terroirs. Meticulous winemaking produces crisp, refreshing whites (Morogues), as well as deeper wines that reflect the uniqueness of each terroir: Le Carroir (old vines on flint), Vignes de Ratier (sunny Kimmeridgian marl terroir), Les Blanchais (Kimmeridgian marl exposed to the northeast).. Well-structured, the reds can show some variation.
