Domaine Dirler-Cadé Alsace Muscat Grand Cru Spiegel Élément Air 2020
92/100
Vinous
"The 2020 Muscat Spiegel Grand Cru comes from slightly richer marl and sandstone soils. The nose is a creamy marvel. It is emollient and concentrated, but also very fresh and wonderfully taut, resonant, beautifully balanced, and endowed with a magnificent citrus finish." (Vinous 2023)

Bettane & Desseauve
Rated estate (2023 guide) 3 stars (High-quality production, serving as a benchmark in its sector)
About the estate:
Bergholtz's iconic estate for two generations now. The 18 hectares of biodynamic vineyards are the result of the union between Jean Dirler and Ludivine Cadé. Within the range, the beautiful terroirs of Saering, Kitterlé, Kessler, and especially Spiegel have great aging potential, allowing the slight residual sugars to mellow.
RVF - La Revue du Vin de France / Guide des Meilleurs Vins de France
Rated estate (2025 guide) 3 stars (These represent the excellence of French vineyards. The best terroirs cultivated by the greatest winemakers. Tasting their wine is always a magical moment.)
About the estate:
Sensitive and experienced winemakers, Jean Dirler and his wife Ludivine are at the helm of this estate founded in 1871, passed down from father to son for five generations and biodynamic since 1998. Regardless of the grape variety, the wines have never been so well-balanced, dense and mature: an impressive range of great dry white wines culminates in the magnificent expressions of the Spiegel, Saering, Kessler and Kitterlé grands crus, which are a must-try and are now named after the four elements (fire, air, earth and water). This estate offers a remarkable welcome and many wines are available in older vintages. The exceptional quality of the entire range in recent vintages has earned it a third star this year.
