"Get wet without fear!"
"With its more smoky and intense aromatic profile, the Saering Riesling is built around a dazzling, luminous bouquet. Still very immature, it will shine brightly as it ages." (Le guide de la RVF 2024)

Bettane & Desseauve
Rated estate (2023 guide) 3 stars (High-quality production, serving as a benchmark in its sector)
About the estate:
Bergholtz's iconic estate for two generations now. The 18 hectares of biodynamic vineyards are the result of the union between Jean Dirler and Ludivine Cadé. Within the range, the beautiful terroirs of Saering, Kitterlé, Kessler, and especially Spiegel have great aging potential, allowing the slight residual sugars to mellow.

Wine rated (2024 guide) 96/100
Rated estate (2025 guide) 3 stars (These represent the excellence of French vineyards. The best terroirs cultivated by the greatest winemakers. Tasting their wine is always a magical moment.)
About wine:
With its more smoky and intense aromatic profile, the Saering Riesling is built around a dazzling, luminous bouquet. Still very immature, it will continue to shine for a long time as it ages.
About the estate:
Sensitive and experienced winemakers, Jean Dirler and his wife Ludivine are at the helm of this estate founded in 1871, passed down from father to son for five generations and biodynamic since 1998. Regardless of the grape variety, the wines have never been so well-balanced, dense and mature: an impressive range of great dry white wines culminates in the magnificent expressions of the Spiegel, Saering, Kessler and Kitterlé grands crus, which are a must-try and are now named after the four elements (fire, air, earth and water). This estate offers a remarkable welcome and many wines are available in older vintages. The exceptional quality of the entire range in recent vintages has earned it a third star this year.

Wine rated (2022 guide) 95/100
Rated estate (2022 guide) Recommended
About wine:
A striking, young dry Riesling from Alsace, with intense aromas of hibiscus and strawberry that draw you into this very sensual wine, which shows great tension while evolving very gracefully on the palate. Long and full finish with a mysterious freshness, despite the hot, dry vintage. Made from biodynamically grown grapes. Drink now or keep.
