"A wine of lace and silk!"

"Fragrant with more obvious appeal than the Clos des Mouches Rouge. Lots of fruit, but also lots of acidity, structure and interest. Very good result" (Jancis Robinson 2023)

RVF - La Revue du Vin de France / Guide des Meilleurs Vins de France

Domaine rated (guide 2022) 2*Stars (These great estates, often endowed with fabulous terroirs, are must-haves which, thanks to their consistency and the excellence of their production, must be included in the cellars of discerning wine lovers).

About the domain :

The house is now run by Frédéric Drouhin, supported by his sister Véronique for the wines and his brother Philippe in the vineyards. In July 2013, it opened an oenotheque in the heart of Beaune. It has found its cruising speed and is establishing itself as a safe bet. The house relies on a biodynamic vineyard particularly well endowed with great whites, in Côte-de-Beaune but also in Chablis (wines sold under the Drouhin-Vaudon brand), including the famous Clos des Mouches.

Vinous A. Galloni

Vinous A. Galloni

Wine rated (guide 2023) 90-92/100

About the wine:

The Chambolle-Musigny 1er Cru 2021 has a nicely detailed bouquet, with more black than red fruit, pressed iris flowers and a slight note of oyster shell. The palate is finely crafted, with supple tannins and good tension, but lacks just a little concentration on the finish. A competent Chambolle-Musigny that may well improve in a few years.

James Suckling

James Suckling

Wine rated (guide 2023) 93/100

About the wine:

Generous aromas of red fruit with notes of bitter chocolate and pepper. Ripe and structured for this appellation, but the medium-dry tannins are already well integrated. Long, elegant finish.
