Domaine rated (guide 2022) 2*Stars (These great estates, often endowed with fabulous terroirs, are must-haves which, thanks to their consistency and the excellence of their production, must be included in the cellars of discerning wine lovers).

About the domain :

The house is now run by Frédéric Drouhin, supported by his sister Véronique for the wines and his brother Philippe in the vineyards. In July 2013, it opened an oenotheque in the heart of Beaune. It has found its cruising speed and is establishing itself as a safe bet. The house relies on a biodynamic vineyard particularly well endowed with great whites, in Côte-de-Beaune but also in Chablis (wines sold under the Drouhin-Vaudon brand), including the famous Clos des Mouches.

Wine rated (guide 2023) 90-92/100

About the wine:

Vosne-Romanée Village 2021 comes from three parcels. It has a pretty, violet-tinged bouquet, simple but effective, well-defined with red cherries and kirsch. The palate is balanced with moderate weight, pure red fruit and an attractive, slightly acidic finish. This is a wine with style. Enjoy it over the next 8-10 years.
