"It is on these terroirs and thanks to this river that noble rot can do its work and settle on the grapes to concentrate their sugar content. This 2011 vintage has all the characteristics of these sweet wines with its notes of dried fruit and acacia, its supple palate and its slightly tart finish. Enjoy with a fruit salad or pan-fried foie gras." (Le Guide Hachette des Vins 2014)

About wine:
This property, located in the heart of the vineyard, offers a magnificent view of the Layon Valley. It is on these terroirs and thanks to this river that noble rot can do its work and settle on the grapes to concentrate their sugar content. This 2011 vintage has all the characteristics of these sweet wines, with notes of dried fruit and acacia, a supple palate, and a slightly tart finish. Enjoy it with a fruit salad or pan-fried foie gras.

Rated estate (2019 guide) Selected (Please note that this guide is a ranking and, as such, all the estates listed in it, even those without stars, represent, in our opinion, the excellence of French production.)
About the estate:
Roger-François Béguinot, who made his fortune in baby food, and his wife fell in love with Château Soucherie in 2007. This 28-hectare estate is beautifully situated on a south-facing schist hillside between Beaulieu and Rochefort, in the Anjou, Savennières, Coteaux du Layon, and Chaume appellations.
