Château Soucherie - Coteaux du Layon 2014

Bettane & Desseauve
This Coteau du Layon expresses itself powerfully with aromas combining the crispness of apple and rhubarb with the sweetness of ripe pear. The velvety texture and persistent fruity aromas are very present on the palate, while leaving room for a beautiful freshness typical of the Loire region. A very nice vintage!

Review and opinion by Mr. ALAIN L. Published on 07/29/2018
I am a big fan of Loire whites, perhaps more so from the Montlouis region, but I was a little disappointed by this Layon, which I found to be overly sweet at the expense of acidity. I "forgot" two or three bottles in the cellar. To be reviewed.
