Jancis Robinson
"All the charm of Loire Pinot Noir: fruitiness, freshness, and a beautiful tannic structure."
"The 2021 Cris is in excellent shape today. It stands out with the freshness of the vintage and its northern terroir. It bursts forth with a finesse and straightforwardness that will need to be tempered at the table." (Le Guide RVF 2025).

Wine rated (2025 guide) 92/100
Rated estate (2026 guide) 3 stars (High-quality production, serving as a benchmark in its sector)
About the estate:
The Pellés are deeply rooted in the Menetou-Salon appellation, and their work in the vineyard and in the winery is impressive. Since 2006, Paul-Henri has been revitalizing this family estate, which is steadily improving in quality. The emphasis on single-vineyard wines and the mastery of oak aging, with an increasing use of large containers (casks and vats), contribute to the estate's excellence, which has added another requirement with its organic certification since 2021.

About wine:
The 2021 Cris is in excellent shape today. It stands out with the freshness of the vintage and its northern terroir. It bursts forth with a finesse and straightforwardness that will need to be tempered at the table.
About the estate:
Paul-Henry Pellé, Anne's son, is in charge of the vineyard and winemaking: this demanding winemaker, who is constantly refining his soil management and aging techniques, is fully committed to achieving optimal maturity and expressing the diversity of the terroirs. Meticulous winemaking produces crisp, refreshing whites (Morogues), as well as deeper wines that reflect the uniqueness of each terroir: Le Carroir (old vines on flint), Vignes de Ratier (sunny Kimmeridgian marl terroir), Les Blanchais (Kimmeridgian marl exposed to the northeast).. Well-structured, the reds can show some variation.

Wine rated (2024 guide) 16,5/20
About wine:
Discreet nose. No flashiness, but a convincing minerality. Rather pure, certainly a worthy alternative to a Côte de Beaune. Dry as a bone. Another wine for purists. No flashy fruit, either on the nose or on the palate.
