"A great Vougeot
"A richness of wet earth notes and an array of red and black cherries, as well as a slightly smoky hint. The palate is beautifully mellow and long, offering a very striking range of juicy, rich, sweet cherries that remain pure and fresh. The silky tannins have the last word. Grand Vougeot. Try from 2022" (James Suckling 2019).

Rated (guide 2021) 94/100 (Wonderful wine)
About the wine:
Drouhin's 2018 Clos de Vougeot Grand Cru shows very well, relaxing in the glass with aromas of cassis, plum, dark chocolate, incense and petals. Full-bodied, rich and enveloping, it's ample and spectacular, with a concentrated core of fruit, succulent acids and velvety tannins that make it unusually approachable at this early stage.
RVF - La Revue du Vin de France / Guide des Meilleurs Vins de France
Domaine rated (guide 2022) 2*Stars (These great estates, often endowed with fabulous terroirs, are must-haves which, thanks to their consistency and the excellence of their production, must be included in the cellars of discerning wine lovers).
About the domain :
The house is now run by Frédéric Drouhin, supported by his sister Véronique for the wines and his brother Philippe in the vineyards. In July 2013, it opened an oenotheque in the heart of Beaune. It has found its cruising speed and is establishing itself as a safe bet. The house relies on a biodynamic vineyard particularly well endowed with great whites, in Côte-de-Beaune but also in Chablis (wines sold under the Drouhin-Vaudon brand), including the famous Clos des Mouches.
