Domaine des Perdrix - Nuits-Saint-Georges 2022
1*Étoile
Hachette
"A true reflection of the terroir, a Gem be discovered."
"A cuvée from a plot of just over one hectare planted with 60-year-old vines. The nose initially reveals notes of vanilla, which refine with aeration to reveal blackberry and violet. Its texture is full-bodied and deep, with a certain tannic solidity that encourages patience for a few years." (Le Guide Hachette 2025)

Bettane & Desseauve
Rated estate (2021 guide) 4 stars (Producers of very high quality, the pride of French vineyards)
About the estate:
Run by the Devillard family, who also own Château de Chamirey in Mercurey, the vineyard is located on remarkable terroirs in the southern Côte de Nuits, and its production is vinified in the spirit of modern wines, seeking high grape maturity and deep, voluptuous textures. The results have been convincing for several years now, starting with the communal appellations, with very fine juices where we used to know them as rather solid. All the fullness possible in 2018 has been captured here, and these will be wines for aging, even very long aging for the Nuits and Echezeaux. Also a delightful red Burgundy.
