Over the last thirty years, the grape varieties planted at Château de Lancyre have changed considerably. The thirty hectares of cleared land have been planted with quality grape varieties. As early as 1970, a policy of rational vine management was introduced, with systematic cordon de royat pruning and trellising. Château de Lancyre 's 78-hectare vineyard is constantly evolving, with the aim of producing top-quality cuvées. A Château de Lancyre Pic Saint Loup has its own personality, a signature that is a benchmark for the taster. Red, white, rosé, the three colors exist, dictated by no fashion, they impose themselves by their balance and the plebiscite of each.

"This Lancyre wine is a blend of 75% Syrah, 15% Grenache and 10% Mourvèdre, aged in barrels. Pic Saint-Loup Grande Cuvée 2017 spent 18 months in oak barrels, giving it hints of cedar and vanilla overlaid with fruity notes of black plum and blackberry. Full-bodied and concentrated, it's also supple and mature, with hints of chocolate and licorice on the long finish, but these elements are balanced by crushed stone notes that add a bit of freshness." Already reviewed last year, it's even better this time, with a sublime Syrah character of mineral, black fruit and violet bouquet.
