Château Pierre Bise
Château Pierre Bise is a large estate with almost fifty-five hectares of vines, spread over the Anjou, Savennières, Coteaux du Layon and Quarts-de-Chaume appellations. A Papin family estate, headed by Claude Papin, who works closely with his son René. Together, they produce cuvées that culminate in the very best of their respective appellations, at once rich, stylish, balanced and offering excellent value for money.

The vineyards of Château Pierre Bise are cultivated according to the precepts of sustainable agriculture, where the rows are grassed over, green work is carried out, and the use of pesticides and insecticides is totally proscribed, preferring natural contributions of trace elements and seaweed among others. The grapes are harvested by hand, depending on the appellation, and vinified with the utmost care. Château Pierre Bise is an estate in constant progress, with the aim of satisfying even the most demanding wine-lovers.

"A lovely terroir white vinified by one of the masters of Chenin".

"The 2022 Le Haut de la Garde from Château Pierre-Bises is rather exotic and fruity, with aromas of orchard fruit, spring flowers, pineapple and sweet spices. Moderately heavy and fleshy, the wine is soft, fleshy and long on the palate, with a delicately bitter finish." (Robert Parker 2024).

"Clos de Coulaine 2021 has a lively, delicate bouquet with aromas of lemon oil, herbs, sage, spring flowers and white flowers mixed with hints of lemon oil. Medium to full-bodied, lively and fragrant, the wine is smooth, homogeneous and complete. It's an elegant interpretation of this historic Savennières terroir." (Robert Parker 2024).

"On the edge of the Coulée de Serrant, discover this superb white wine with exceptional charm".

"This 2022 already has a compelling aromatic profile, full of vegetal sap and orchard fruit aromas. On the palate, it's structured, intense, firm and deeply aromatic, with flavors that seem to come from stone and rock as much as fruit, and with that sense of vegetal sap and leaf infusing the wine. This is a beautifully articulated wine with a singular character, from a very fine, very dry Loire vintage, and one that will certainly age well." (Decanter 2024). Wine delivered without capsule.

(Notes vintage 2017)

This lieu-dit in the heart of Anjou is distinguished from other parcels by its original micro-climate: arid and wild, it's home to Mediterranean plants! Thus, in its youthful golden color with green highlights, Les Rouannières exudes aromas of honey, acacia, quince and walnut. A dense, mineral mellowness with impeccable aromatic qualities.
