"Pure pleasure"
The estate's classic cuvée, Lirac La Fermade Blanc 2023, is based on 55% Grenache, 25% Clairette, and 10% Picpoul and Ugni Blanc, all aged in stainless steel. Orange blossom, ripe melon, and pear notes define the aromas, and the wine is medium-bodied on the palate, with a beautifully textured, balanced, and concentrated style that will allow it to shine at the table." Rated estate (2022 guide) 3 stars (High-quality production, serving as a benchmark in its sector)
About the estate:
In this historic region of Tavel, the Maby family produces wines of consistent quality that are always honest, pleasant, and full-bodied. Led by the dynamic Richard Maby, the estate continues to progress, with the wines gaining in precision each year. The vineyards are located in the communes of Tavel, the Lirac plateau, and the neighboring Côtes du Rhône. Reasonable prices and consistent quality make this estate a safe bet on the current market for all three colors.
Guide Hachette des vins
Rated estate (2022 guide) Award-winning wines (This producer's wines are regularly recognized by the guide)
About the estate:
This estate, renowned for its consistent quality, particularly its Lirac wines in all three colors and its Tavel wines, was founded in 1950 by Armand Maby. In 2005, his grandson Richard took over the reins of the vineyard, 53 hectares located mainly on the rounded pebbles of the Vallongue plateau; the vines are cultivated "naturally" and have been in conversion to organic farming since 2019. Since 2011, the eminent Rhône oenologist Philippe Cambie has been advising the estate.

About wine:
Full of fruit on the palate. Nicely balanced and integrated, with fragrance, interest, and weight. Probably not for long-term aging, but well made!
