Domaine du Mas Blanc
Domaine du Mas Blanc is located south of Perpignan on the terraces of Banyuls and Collioure, which share the same appellation area in the Roussillon region. Domaine du Mas Blanc, a leading representative of these two appellations, has always stood out for the quality of its products from the appellation's finest terroirs.

Domaine du Mas Blanc is a family-run estate that respects and preserves the quality of its wines. It contributes to the tradition and modernity of the Collioure and Banyuls appellations. Today, Jean-Michel Parcé, son of the famous Doctor André Parcé, a great local figure who passed away in 1998, runs Domaine du Mas Blanc. Guarantor of the family tradition, he continues to vinify and age his wines with respect for the teachings passed on, where the work of man, the adaptation of the grape variety and the expression of the soil take precedence, and express the passion of a local winemaker, with the accents of the terroir typical of Domaine du Mas Blanc.

All the terroir of the Côte Vermeille is expressed in this great dry white, where the 4 grape varieties that make up its blend give it all its originality and qualities. A beautifully fresh white with a sensual side that's not unpleasant. The intense, fine iodine and lemon notes suggest an accompaniment to stuffed and grilled sardines.

Facing due south on steep terraces, the Syrah plots that make up this 90% Collioure are trained on stakes, reminiscent of Côte Rôtie vineyards. With its incredibly low yields (15 hl/ha), this wine is Lord in his own kingdom, and he's proud of it. Its beautiful ripeness and aromas lead to a pleasure where terroir expresses itself above all else. A confidential wine to be drunk over the next six to eight years!

Terres de Schistes is a fine expression of this terroir, in which Grenache noir is combined with a little Syrah and Mourvèdre. Produced from old vines and aged in foudres, vats and barrels, Domaine du Mas Blanc's Banyuls collections are complex, concentrated vins doux naturels, a true ambivalence of ripeness and youth. Very few wines stand the test of time in this way. A rare bottle to delight purists and collectors alike!

One of the greatest Banyuls! This Hors d'âge cuvée aged in sostréra (the Catalan word for Soléra) was created by Doctor Parcé in 1925. It is made from the wines of each new vintage, which are then added to create a subtle blend within the sostréra aging system. Every three years, a portion is removed and bottled. Discover a unique and exceptional Banyuls, powerful and highly complex. A true invitation to travel... to the palate of wonders!

Domaine du Mas Blanc - Banyuls Collita 2004

Note : RVF 16/20
Cuvée Collita starts out as a Rimage, whose very specific cuvaison (under marc) results in a Banyuls with a very different character, with strong spicy accents. It shows near-perfect balance and a remarkable combination of fruit and aroma. One of the estate's latest wines, it's not lacking in generosity. A must-try!
