Domain Plageoles
Located in the north of the Tarn department in the Gaillac appellation area, Domain Plageoles has been in operation since 1805 and comprises two estates: the family-owned Domaine des Très Cantous, in the commune of Cahuzac sur Vère, and Domaine de Roucou-Cantemerle, in the commune of Castelnau de Montmiral. The Domain Plageoles vineyard now covers 20 hectares.

The Domain Plageoles claims to produce "terroir" wines, made according to the principles of respect for the terroir and natural growing techniques: no chemical fertilizers, no weed-killers, no synthetic products, no dry yeast, no chaptalization... Deliberately focused on the historic grape varieties of the Gaillac vineyards, Domain Plageoles produces some of the finest white and red AOC Gaillac wines in the appellation.

"After the Mauzac aperitif, Ondenc is uncorked in the simplicity of its vinification: grapes without yeast, without wood, without crushing, but with malo: the roundness of the grapes, its floral flavors and stone fruit notes, its finesse, all add to the pleasure of tasting it. (Le Guide RVF 2024). A 100% Ondenc vinified dry, offering quince and seringua aromas on the nose, with freshness and elegance on the palate. The archetypal fresh and convivial wine, to be shared with friends at any time of day... Don't miss it!

"True Braucol as you'd expect: behind the devilishly rustic bouquet lies the finer red fruit. You've got to love this style, which is a little rough around the edges, but ultimately very easy to digest". (Le Guide des Meilleurs Vins de France 2022 - RVF). "Every 30 seconds, the wine is different: no sooner have we enjoyed a fragrance than it has changed, passing through mint, then curry and saffron to end on tobacco, cocoa and parchment. The equally exceptional color adds its own nuance to the edifice. On the palate, candied orange and tender bitters confirm the exceptional breed of this liquoreux. "(Le Guide des Meilleurs Vins de France 2020 - RVF) A concentrate of delicacy and finesse.

"In this 2019 vintage, we have a very expansive specimen of Ondenc, fat, complex, floral, almost turned; more round and spherical than taut. The finish, however, takes a mineral tangent in the detail of fresh fruit." (Le Guide des Meilleurs Vins de France 2022 - RVF). A 100% Ondenc vinified dry, full of elegance. "Simply prodigious

"The raisin dominates the roasted nose, a sign of quality botrytis. A touch of acidity invigorates the whole. On the palate, the wine is precise and serene, delivering notes of citrus peel and leaving the palate fresh despite 200 grams of sugar: that's what we call just right."
