Domaine de Ravanès
The Domaine de Ravanès is known for producing "off-the-beaten-track" wines, well known to wine-lovers. Marc Benin oversees the 33-hectare Domaine de Ravanès vineyard, producing great red wines with the Vin de Pays des Coteaux de Murviel Indication Géographique Protégée label, as well as highly original sweet white wines, made from botrytized grapes picked in the dead of winter.

Domaine de Ravanès produces the cuvée Les Gravières du Taurou, considered the "Pétrus of Languedoc", after its 1999 Vin de Pays des Coteaux de Murviel beat the great Pétrus in a memorable blind tasting.... The estate has been organic since 2011.

"This great white from the Languedoc has everything to please and satisfy connoisseurs!

Renard Blanc is a singularly expressive wine for ageing, where the power of Grenache Gris is tempered by the finesse of Maccabeu. Fresh, rich and complex, dominated by yellow fruit, with hints of pineapple and citrus, it is round on the palate, revealing exceptional fatness, balanced by remarkable minerality and a generous, long-lasting finish.

"THE cuvée that beat the legendary Petrus in London in 2004 at a memorable blind tasting of the 1999 vintage!"

Based on a precise plot selection and a blend of Merlot and Petit Verdot, this grand cuvée benefits from exceptionally long ageing to refine its character. The 2019 vintage is already proving very affordable, with a beautiful openness and elegant tannins. Decant several hours before tasting, or cellar for a few years.

"THE cuvée that beat the legendary Petrus in London in 2004 at a memorable blind tasting of the 1999 vintage!"

Based on a precise plot selection and a blend of Merlot and Petit Verdot, this grand cuvée benefits from an exceptionally long ageing period to be perfected. The 2017 vintage, following in the footsteps of 2015, is already proving very affordable, with a beautiful openness and great elegance of tannins. Decant several hours before tasting, or cellar for a few years.

"Atypical!"

Produced without maceration and with low yields, this rare grape variety created in 1855 will intrigue fans of atypical wines! The palate is in the same register as the nose, exuberant with very ripe black berries (blackcurrant, blueberry), notes of resin and eucalyptus. A delicious, suave wine of restrained power, combining vinosity, liveliness and velvety tannins. A must-try!

"An atypical Syrah

An atypical cuvée composed of Syrah, Aramon and Cinsault. Designed for moments of conviviality, this cuvée expresses pure fruit, like a basket of red and black fruits tinged with a hint of spice. On the palate, it's light and sapid, with soft tannins and a salivating finish. What more could you ask for? Friends and fine charcuterie for a festive aperitif!

"An exceptional wine that stands out from the crowd!

Made from the single grape variety Petit Verdot and matured 40 months in oak barrels, this wine is produced in very limited quantities and only in the very best years to create an exceptional cuvée. Ultra-concentrated, powerful and with an intense tannic structure, it combines power, vinosity balanced by vivacity and fatness. A wine of great class!

"Last bottles!"

From a precise plot selection, a blend of Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Petit Verdot, aged 48 months in barrels. A great wine, racy, powerful and complex, offering tons of spice and candied fruit, with a full-bodied, deep mouthfeel. This is the cuvée not to be missed, whose 1999 vintage beat the great Petrus in a famous blind tasting!

Oméga is the estate's rare cuvée. It was born with the ambition of creating a great southern white wine made from 100% of a micro-parcel of very old Grenache Gris vines. A racy wine of character, combining aromatic richness and minerality to guarantee intense pleasure... An enchanting wine!
